Baby Onsie Card with Lion Face

I love this card!!! I saw several onesie cards on the internet but most of the idea's for this card is CASED'd from Nina Dee Deesigns and  Maggie Made Cards.  My neighbor's baby is due next month and this card is just perfect for her upcoming shower.

I used Pool Party Card Stock for the base.  The card measured 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" with the fold at the top of the card.  Using snail, I attached a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" of the dotted Pool Party from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack to the front of the card to give the onesie a pattern.

Keep the card closed and measure down 1 1/2" and towards the center 1/2".  Draw a line to the bottom corner of the card.  Cut away the space to create the arms.  Using the 1 1/4" circle punch, cut the holes for the head and legs.

Cut a strip of card stock or DSP 2 1/4" x 1/2" and add 3 brads.  I added a 1/8" strip of Island Indigo to add some contrast.

I used the scallop circle punch and the scallop edge border in Island Indigo card stock to at the scalloped trim.

To make the Lion Face - Punch one Ornament, one Scallop Circle, one five petal flower (cut off 2 petals), two 1/2" circles.  Once the shapes are punched, sponge the edges with Chocolate Chip ink.  I printed the free eyes from My Scrap Chick.   Use a pink marker to draw the nose.  Use a thin black marker to draw whiskers and dots on the nose.
